Up until that point, Mack comes off as a man’s man. He’s just a brute who perhaps has somewhat of a heart, so it’s simply never clear what Mack wants. Keep track of everything you watch; tell your friends. The camera is trained relentlessly on his hapless baby face, and his gruff-voiced, wounded-animal, blowhard energy becomes monotonous in the extreme.
As the film progresses, the lines begin to blur, leaving the audience to question who is really the good guy and who is actually the bad guy? Trevor Morgan as Louis. What a sad, sad waste of a young life. This was yet another interesting indie film I was able to learn about through Netflix. It is a darkly moody story which requires paying close attention.
